Thank you for your interest in sharing your story with us and our readers!

Those Who Mourn is currently accepting submissions for publication.
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions should be a maximum of 2000 words, and may be in any of the following categories:
- Infertility
- Pregnancy or Child loss
- Loss of Spouse
- Loss of Parent
- Other Loss
- Divorce
- Self-care, Practical Tools, and Mental Health for Grievers
- Hope for Grievers from Scriptures and Saints
- Poetry and Creative Writing that is grief-related
- Book, movie, or television program reviews that are grief-related
All work must be faithful to the Magisterium and teachings of the Catholic Church
Submissions may be pieces that you have previously shared in a personal blog, posts you have created on Facebook/Instagram, or excerpts from a book that you have published.
Please refrain from expressing any comparisons of loss or grief within your piece – one type of loss is not worse or better than another, nor is one type of grieving easier or harder than another.
While everyone’s story of loss is unique, instead of merely telling your story, writers should do one of the following:
- share something you found challenging about loss and how your Faith helped you to overcome the challenge or endure it
- offer hope from the Scriptures or the Saints for those who are grieving
- share practical tips for self-care or mental health or tools for healing for those who are grieving
- present creative pieces in the spirit of hope, encouragement, or “mourning with those who mourn” so that grievers feel inspired, understood, or validated in their suffering
Please do not use the submission form to advertise a book, course, services, or other item – tangible or digital – that you offer. Instead, visit our Advertise page to learn more about sharing these items with our readers.
Not all submissions will be published, and you will be notified by email within thirty days if your submission has been accepted.
